Quality Fabrication, Inc. (QFI) is synonymous to trust in the domain of custom precision sheet metal fabrication and machine parts. This is evident by the fact that the company’s end-to-end services with marked quality are cherished by its clients. With COVID-19 casting a shadow on the business at an epic scale, most companies have put brakes on many of their major projects. As a result, “The customers of our clients are expecting more value for their investments in terms of parts quality, cost, and time,” says Héctor Gutiérrez, President of QFI. “In tandem, our clients want us to provide quotes, sometimes, in two hours as opposed to two days previously.” Stepping up to the challenge, QFI is doubling down on employee training and other initiatives to help its clients remain competitive.
It is because of its core values that QFI has been able to adapt quickly to the recent market developments. “At QFI, values such as unity, transformation, vision, and happiness at work continue to define us as a proficient team that can evolve with time,” says Gutiérrez. “Our team of close to 100 employees believes in teamwork, humanism, and environmentalism.” The team’s unified goal is to bring out the full potential of every individual by ensuring happiness at work. Consistent training and coaching related to Six Sigma, leadership development, and personality development help employees remain on top of their skills and deliver quality results in complex scenarios and urgent situations.
Knowledgeable and skilled professionals not only exceed clients’ expectations but also provide support in building a better future by innovating products and solutions. With such passion and vision, QFI continues to improve its communication with its clients and partners for better client value. The idea is to keep the stakeholders in a project apprised of the latest updates and timeline.
At the outset of client engagement, QFI gathers requirements from them. “They can either send us the drawings and other project details or have us develop the designs,” says Gutiérrez. Post this, QFI will either send the first articles or prototypes depending on the clients’ demand, in less than seven days. Once approved, it moves into large scale production of the parts. The company’s holistic services include design, fabrication, painting, welding, and installation of hardware in the client environment. All of this could take up to 2-3 months on average. What’s more, the company also takes care of transportation and logistics.
A few years ago, one company was suffering because they had to hire multiple service providers for the design, fabrication, and painting of different parts. Consequently, the company incurred huge cost and administrative overhead in managing multiple partners for manufacturing and transport. QFI, the one-stop-shop for sheet metal manufacturing, enabled this company to streamline business processes and reduce cost significantly. QFI was able to exceed their expectations while reducing the overall cost by 15 percent.
With AS 9100D and MIL-I-45208 certifications, QFI offers services to Aerospace and Defense among various other industries in the areas of manufacturing chassis and cabinets for electronics and electric panels. The company has deep experience in installing power supply, fans, connectors, switches, cables, motherboards and backplanes, and assembly of card guides and feet. “We believe in changing the status quo and transforming the world by helping each other within our team and envisioning a better future by creating great products,” concludes Gutiérrez.
